Wanhat – 2017

Traditional dances, or Wanhat, are over! We are now the oldest students at our school.

The whole day was extremely hectic! I woke up at 6.00 am and started doing my makeup. My hair appointment was at 8.00. I got back home around 10.00 and finished my makeup, ate, and put on my dress to make it to the rehearsal by 12!

The first dances started at 13.30. Students from our school came to watch. I was very nervous and forgot to smile and take it easy. My legs were already hurting at this point and there was still the whole day in front of us!

At 17.30 the last show started. The whole arena was full of family members and friends! It was so much fun! This time I focused on having fun. Not taking everything so seriously made the dancing a lot of fun!

I got home from the arena around 19.30. But the day wasn’t over yet! The after party was next. I fixed my makeup, ate and rested for a while.  Next up was Circus in Helsinki! Several schools had their after party there, so I saw many of my friends that are in a different school! We danced, sang and had a lot of fun!

Here is a picture of my dress!!

2017!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2017!

It’s finally 2017! I can’t believe a year has gone by…AGAIN.

I spent New Year’s Eve with my friends. We just hung out at my friend’s house and talked about things and listened to music. Nothing special, but it was fun!

Let’s see what 2017 brings!

Christmas 2016

Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas is now almost over and I still have two weeks of vacation left. Less than a week until 2017. I can’t believe it!

Christmas went quite calmly at home with my mom, and brother and of course our dogs. Already on the 23. we cooked our Christmas ham, so there was no stress on Christmas. The morning started off lazily. Everyone slept in with no hurry to go anywhere. Later on we made some Christmas food and ate very well. In the evening we all sat in the living room and gave out presents. We spent time together and didn’t do anything crazy or special.

I was supposed to go to China on the first of January, but plans got mixed up and now I’m going to spend my whole holiday in Finland. I might visit my dad, during winter break in February.

Hope you all had an amazing Christmas!

Who am I?

Hi!

I should probably start by telling you a bit about me. So I’m a 17-year-old high school student, from Finland. I love taking photos and travelling. I actually moved away from Finland when I was one. I moved to England, then Germany and finally China. All together, I lived abroad for eight years. I moved back to Finland when I was turning 10.

I started school in China, in an international school. Due to this, I continued studying in an international school when I moved back to Finland. Now I’m in high school, in an IB-program. After high school, I might want to move abroad. Let’s see what happens!

I live at home, with my mom, brother and 2 dogs. My dad still lives in China with my younger brother.

This blog will mostly be just about my life, where I travel and photos I take.

And to add  – a beautiful photo of Helsinki.
